The Site Administration (or back-end) will be a password protected portion of your website. Generally, only you will know the actual address or URL of the page. Should anyone else find it, however, they cannot change product or view orders since only you will know the login and password.

In the Orders section you may:

• Review Incoming Orders

  Here you see the entire order, who ordered, what they ordered, as well as all billing information. You may then bill the order via your existing Merchant Account (or your on-line account if integrated into the Cart). You then either Confirm or Decline the order to the Customer. (Declines are ususally billing problems or Out of Stock conditions.)

• Completed Orders

  You may review your entire history of completed orders at any time. You have the ability to review the order as it was presented or e-mail the customer directly.

• Declined Orders

  Same as above, but for Declined Orders.

• Search Orders

  Allows you to search all orders based on order number, name, e-mail address, or state. Extremely valuable when a customer is calling you about a previous order.

The list of Product Management activities are listed in the logical order thay you would use them to display a new product line in your store.

• Product Categories

  You may add, change, delete, and alter the display order of Product Categories. For the demo, we have shelving, pencils, pens, and scissors. Note: Product Categories can only be deleted when there are no products in the category.

• Manage Colors

  Color selections (optional, of course) for products are made available by first defining a Color Category Name. The name can be anything you wish, the customer never sees it; the customer only sees the colors within the Category. If one were selling pencils and all pencils had the same colors available you would define a Color Category of 'pencils'.

  Colors will be selected via dropdowns in the cart. The order of the colors may be adjusted within the dropdown. As with Products, you can only delete a Color Category if no products refer to it.

• Manage Sizes

  Size categories function exactly the same as Color categories.

• Manage Pictures

  This selection allow you to review product pictures you have previously uploaded, add new and delete unused pictures. (As with Sized and Colors, a pictures cannot be deleted if a product is using it.)

  You may upload either .GIF or .JPG type pictures. They will automatically be resized to the appropiate dimensions. The demo site resizes picturs to a maximum of 200 pixels in either dimension.

• Products

  Lastly, and most importantly, this item allows you to add, modify or delete products. Additionally, each product has the ability to have 'models' (like shelving in this example). Any attribute selected in a model will override the attribute in the main product (especially price).
